Hallelujah!
Obviously I am extremely happy with the outcome but I am being reserved as we now have to wait to see what the supporters of prop-hate are going to do next. Regardless this is a HUGE victory for the GLBT community which will help pull us ahead to more victories in the future.
I do think, however, the supporters of Prop-hate really need to be careful how hard the push the issue in California as it might come back to bite them on the ass. If they push too hard they might find this being more of a federal issue instead of a state issue and I still stand firm that if it goes federal it will pass in favor of the GLBT community. Just my opinion as I see it.

Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license. Indeed, the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California Constitution the notion that opposite-sex couples are superior to same-sex couples. Because California has no interest in discriminating against gay men and lesbians, and because Proposition 8 prevents California from fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide marriages on an equal basis, the court concludes that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.
Amen
