So, what did happen to Unsupervised?
I managed to avoid eviction an bankruptcy through sheer bull-headed gall and stubbornness. I still have a few collection agents bothering me but I'm wearing them down because I don't fold like a cheap lawn chair in the face of their tactics designed for teenagers with their first department store credit card (fucking morons .. not the teens, the agents)
I'm working a good job now as a slot technician at a casino. In the structure here, that makes me a government employee. It takes me back up to a wage that I earned in the mid 90's but I'm getting by.
This beautiful, young lady is living with me now. She's also obviously quite insane... OBVIOUSLY! But, she seems to dig me, despite, well, me.
Spawn is going into highschool in the fall.
My mother tried to kill herself twice in the last year and, believe it or not, this doth try my patience.
So, here's the fun part  The former Mrs U is still with the teen-boy and travels to the States once or twice a year to see him. I suppose he'd be about 22 now. Ya just gotta laugh sometimes.
Oh, and Canada is in the grips of a neo-conservative, fundamentalist government that is spending us into the deepest hole possible to support it's military ambitions and desire for super-extra crime strategies and prisons despite the falling crime rate. I'm sure the corporate tax cuts and oil company subsidies will help the situation. So there.

This whole thread was a nostalgia rush. \o to everybody.
Life got pretty crazy - in the good sense - once I started my transition. Estrogen's a hell of a drug, as I like to say. Suddenly got a life outside the internet, and stopped having time for this place.
