Okay...here's the story. Long time ago I liked this guy. We'll call him Scott. We were really good friends until it was found out that I had feelings for him. Everything ended in a pretty bad way and then he started dating my best friend. We'll call her Samantha. Anyhow, Samantha and Scott had an on and off relationship up until the time we were like sophomores in high school. Then Scott went to live in another town and I pretty much forgot all about him and all the "torture". Friday night my sister and I pulled up into a Sonic-Drive in toget something for my dad and little brother (who were leaving for Tulsa that night). We pulled into the window and there's Scott. I was praying to God that he didn't see me and I was almost sure we would get away without being spotted. Then my sister says, "Misty, he's looking right at you." And I thought, "DAMN! Why me??"
Then I get online today to talk to a friend of mine and it ends up being Scott. He was asking me a lot of questions and stuff about what I've been doing, what I've been up to...and then the question that I had hoped wouln't come up..."so, are you seeing anyone?" I just told the truth. "Yes, I am." And he got really quiet, reserved. So my question is....WHY? He made it clear when we were kids he didn't want to date me. Why all of a sudden would he start acting like he was disappointed that I was seeing anyone? I just don't get it. UGH!!!

Maybe he's interested now. Things change...people change. You grow and learn a lot in your teen years.

changes of interest is common. Like Amanda said, people change. Maybe he didn't realize how good you were until he didn't see you anymore. Or maybe, he liked you as a friend, but when he didn't see you anymore he became interested in you in a romantic way.

Appears to me that Scott may have changed his mind about you. Are you interested in him at all?

The next question should be "Why does it bother you so much that his feelings might have changed?" ...You ARE in a relationship... if you're happy w/ him, then it shouldn't matter if "Scott" likes you now or not. .....Just a thought.

You know what? You're right. I guess it just bugged me because I thought about what it could've been like back then. Time to sleeping dogs to rest and let the past sleep with it.
xIrish - I did like him. For a long time...but when I sit here and think about it...I really have no future with my past. Though it does makeup part of the person I've become today it was only meant to be reflected on never dug up and resurrected.

Stuff like that happened to me. But only because the girl who I didn't like before was ugly and now they are hot. So, I mean, you must've gotten hot. Lol, I'm serious.

Gee...that's really great for someone's self-esteem dude. But FYI, I was always cute. Just never what one would consider hot. There were other people that I did date that were good looking etc. etc. and others that may not have been all that great looking but they were to me. You don't judge a person based purely on their looks. Beauty is only skin deep.

kids..pshhh
yea obivously he's interested in you. And yea he`s disappointed that your seeing someone. Why should that upset you or put you in a bad mood?
Rule #498538 in girls talking to guys
If a guy gets quite and doesnt talk -- ESPECIALLY online...that means just ignore him and dont worry about it. Better off not talking about it cuz it`ll piss him off more. believe me from personal experience.
