My theripist says I need to be tested for ADHD. I told her when I'm in class, I can't pay attention to the teacher at all and when she was talking to me earlier that session. I told her I drift out about 1-2 minutes into the lecture/talk. I told her I started to notice this early in middle school. This is when she said I need to be tested for ADHD.
My question is, what exactly is going to happen? Will I have to write a paper? Watch a movie? She told me this testing is a lot more acurate then the online tests, this is after I told her I had taken a few online tests, which said I need to see a doctor.
Is this even going to happen at my theripist? Will I have to see another doctor?
Also, what is the treatment, if I happen to be postive? Will they give me Adderal/Ritil(SP)? I heard thats just speed. Is it possible she will just have like a way to deal with it, instead of prescribing drugs?
