Are you getting enough sleep the night before? Most teens need more than eight hours of sleep. Taking a hot shower in the morning can help, even some quick exercises. As far as drinks and food, it is a good idea to eat something when you wake up. Your body needs some fuel in the morning.

I found that if I set my alarm for half an hour before I actually have to get up, and then snooze a few times, it helps me actually wake up. I know how you feel, though, it's a b**** and hard to concentrate on anything.

I've gotten stomach aches from eating in the morning before too. I never ate breakfast when I was somewhat younger because of it. Now I can eat breakfast and be ok though.

Getting up was a hard chore for me too. I later found out I suffered from fatigue, but there are ways to still get yourself up.

1. When your alarm goes off, sit up right away.
2. Sit at the edge of your bed and count to 60, right when you get to sixty stand up.
3. Take a warm shower. Not hot or cold. Actually, cold helps, but I hate cold showers.
4. When you get done showering, don't dry off, just go straight to brushing your teeth. Usually this makes you a little cold and it helps wake you up some.
5. Dry off and get dressed. I like to turn on some good rock music like linkin park or something. Now go to the bathroom for your long awaited morning pee. haha.
6. Drink a small glass or cup of water and it may be a good idea to start taking a multivitamin like centrum.
7. Most importantly, keep moving.

Hope this helps.

Hey Suckikitten thats the same trick i use

There aint a good way of getting up especially if your tired when your all comfy in bed, its a fucker having to get out of it.

I personally have problems sleeping more as i lay in bed for many hours until i finally get to sleep which sucks. That makes it hard for me to get up in the mornings, although today i got up at like 11:30 which is bad since i been trying to get up for 9 so i can goto the gym at 10.

My alarm is set at 6:48 in the morning and i get out of bed at 7:34, it helps a little bit because the first few times the snooze goes off i dont even remember jumping up and hitting the button. But i'm the same way nothing gets me up in the morning. Also getting 2 much sleep actually makes u drowsier during the day. Since i dont get enough sleep during the week i easily do 14hrs on the weekends and i'm still dead tired. It seems I am never wide awake. Some how u need to shock yourself so ur like "ahhh" that will make u awake a good adreniline rush! How to accomplish that i have no idea.

My typical morning... hmmm.... I set my alarm at 6:00 and it goes off at precisely 9 minutes. My mom calls me to make sure I'm "awake". I always lie and go back to sleep. I wake up every 9 minutes and hit snooze. My cat will sometimes be there, so it's great to pet him until I'm like WTF, I need some sleep. At 6:36 I'll stay awake in the dark until 6:40. I then get up and I turn on the light. It's ok now because I'm awake with all the wakeup-go to sleep processes with my alarm clock. I go to the bathroom, put clothes on fix hair, brush teeth. And then I start thinking of something funny and start talking to myself. This helps me get into a good mood. I fix up something to go like a burrito or some waffles. I wrap it up in a paper towel and then put it in my jacket pocket. My real wake up and enjoyment though is the diet coke. OMG, it tastes so awesome in the morning and wakes me up. So I go to the bus stop at 7:04 and I see my friend and I'm all smiley and happy and she's like "Are you ok?"

Heh heh. I love my mornings. Then comes school

On weekends, however, I work to sleep 12 hours to make up for my weekdays. Eat cereal, watch TV, hang on the internet. Chill out. Sometimes my step-dad is a real B**** and decides to wake me up at 8:00AM to go do some "wake up work" (i.e. Dig the rest of the ditch in the yard for the french drain or mow the lawn). He gets REALLY pissed off when I fall asleep.

I take one at night, not in the morning.

cheers guys ill bare some of that in mind..i already do the alarm clock thing... i did it for over an hour today lol!!

yeah and i have real trouble getting to sleep..often im lying there for hours trying to get comfortable of whatever..i always thought it was to do with me sleeping on my front...also i cant sleep anywhere apart from a bed (ie not in chairs or whatever) and best of all my bed with my pillow cover...because of my allergies and things...so if ive had a difficult nights sleep i want to get up even less!!!
