This keeps happening at an alarming rate. Why did the military ignore the warning signs of his potential 'instability' and discharge him?

just checking the most recent news. Turn out he's still alive and he acted alone. There is also reports that his weapon wasn't army issue.

I hate this stuff. It sounds like another disturbed person with easy access to firearms. But I shouldn't jump to conclusions until more info is available.
