Footnotes
It
is unclear why the 18 - 25 year old group had a 0.1 inch
smaller erection than those in the 17 year old group.
This is unlikely statistically significant and was a separate
study with different measurers.
Erection length will vary greatly depending on one's Tanner
stage (level of sexual maturity - see Development
section). Differing ages that one undergoes puberty
will greatly affect erection size. The lengths noted
here are averages of all subjects, and represent a mishmash
of various levels of maturity.
