After having sex with my girlfriend I have received a rash around my penis that itches really bad. It causes me to scratch it uncontrollably and is some times uncomfortable. Do I have some sort of STD and is there any medicine for this?

I doubt if this is an STD, but I am not a doc so if it continues I think you should consult with one. Sounds like you developed a rash that could be related to vaginal fluid or maybe even "friction burns." Semen and vaginal fluid can be irritating to some of us and not even all the time. THose fluids are different based on many different thingss, eating habits and such. I certainly don't want you thinking if that is it that it will always happen, it won't and it's not the girls fault either so don't blame her! You can use normal topical creams in your groin area and on your penis but be careful to read the instructions first. Somethings should NOT be put on the tip of your penis. Hope this helps!

I know that if a woman has some sort of infection, such as a yeast infection (nothing serious), she can pass it on through sex. If you haven't already, ask her if she has the same symptoms or if she had recently gotten over a vaginal infection. If so, your doctor will be able to recommend a simple remedy.
