I'm 21 from Britain and from the age of about 16 i have got these pimples on my penis. I've been to the clinic 3 times as i thought it was an std.It wasn't it was called sebaceous glands. They are meant to be normal, i have them all over the shaft and scrotum. They affect me in a big way and i can't have sex with these on the penis as i know they are not an std but girls wont! They stand out a lot and i can feel the bumps so easily so what will a girl think.I've tried getting rid of them i use to put iodine on them no change, then i started using cetaphil and scrubbing with baking soda no change. I'm so desperate for help in getting rid of them or reducing them. Its affecting my life in a big way, i can't sleep for worrying about them, they are disgusting!I sometimes wish I had an std instead as at least then I would have a cure or some medicine to help. Please someone help, give me hints or tips or something please!I cry my eyes out at the thought of never being able to have a relationship and to love someone just because of these.IP: Logged |

We all have subaceous glands that produce pimple like things, usually they are more on other parts of the body. Since this is bothering you so bad I'd ask for an appointment with a dermatologist or someone who specializes in skin conditions. This CAN be treated and then you'll get some relief. There is no reason for you to deny yourself the pleasure of relationships and sex because of a normal body function such as pimples. Just sounds as if your case is more severe than others of us. I've often had one or two pimples there and "taken care of them" although docs would say never to "pop" one or open it for fear of infection. Good luck!IP: Logged |

I suspect that once they see what is going on they can treat it with either an oral (pill) anti-biotic or a topical anti-biotic cream or something. Sure would have been easier if your other doc had made such a referral. Please don't wait, schedule this appointment and get some relief for yourself. I'm sorry you dealt with this alone for so long with no support or help. Really does suck that we guys are left to figure stuff out and aren't made to feel OK about dealing with this sorta stuff. Seems like we just feel embarassed about matters related to the penis and testicles....when in fact they are just organs like our heart, eyes, ears and stuff. Let us know what you find out! Good luck!IP: Logged |

Hi , I was so glad someone replied to me lance! If people like you can help at least one person on this board by giving advice then you've changed their life for ever in a helpful way. I went to my local doc and showed her the print from board and she had a look at penis herself, she then said I can book you in on the NHS but there is a 2 month wait, so i've decided to go private at a cost of £100 and i will find out the appointment in next few days. Its a lot of money but it will be worth it!! I will defenitely keep you informed as to how i go on, its the least i can do for your help.IP: Logged |
