I have just heard from my dermatologist after having a red sort of scaly mole removed from the back of my leg. It is cancerous but not one of the common three skin cancers. This is Bowen's Disease. They want me to come back and scrape out some more to make sure they have gotten it all which they assure me they already have and this is just a precaution. Does anyone out there know of this form of skin cancer? Also, I read that rather than scraping the area this time that a precedure called a MOHS surgery should be preformed. Anyone know about this? Thanks so much for your help.IP: Logged |
