well on sunday i was in the shower and i started feeling dizzy almost like i would pass out... but that went away. on monday my friend pointed out a red spot on my neck but i just ignored her well today (thursday) i started looking at it and it looks like a bull-eye rash without the ring....it doesnt itch and it doesnt even hurt at all. doesnt' bother me a bit. my mother says its not a tick bite but i dont know (im allergic to ticks also last time i had one i was in the icu so i dont know what to do...does this sound like lyme or not? o and i live in Wisconsin an area prone to this sort of thing

hey caity - cenfath here. this is pretty scary thing to deal with i know. have your mom take you to a doctor anyway and make them test you for lyme. you're describing some of the symptoms for lyme disease. Also, there are different types of ticks, just like there are different types of spiders, fish, and birds. You may not be allergic to all ticks. You may not have Lyme but to be safe go to the doc. He/she can tell you. I know it's scary dealing with something like that. My uncle had Lyme, he got treated early though. I'm not sure if my information will get you in time. Most patients, however, when caught EARLY...I repeat EARLY make a full recovery. I'm not sure when you started noticing....but like I said...get to that doctor. If he doesn't test you.....get a different doctor...one that will. Make them test your for Lyme. I hope everything works out for you. Let me know.
